Our Process

Our garment manufacturer, located in northern Portugal, combines skilled craftsmanship, rich textile heritage, and ethical practices. Known for advanced technology and sustainable production, Portugal is the ideal location for premium garments.

The process of constructing each garment is precise, with every step carefully crafted to reflect its individuality.

1. SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

Our garments are first sourced using organic cotton. Organic cotton is cultivated using natural methods that prioritize soil health and biodiversity. Our organic cotton is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified, ensuring the highest environmental and ethical standards..

2. DYEING AND FINISHING

Once sourced from certified farms, the organic cotton is imported and spun into yarn. From here, the yarn is woven or knitted into fabric, which may undergo dyeing to achieve the desired color and texture. This step can involve either fabric dyeing or garment dyeing, depending on the design and aesthetic.

Fabric Dyeing: The fabric is dyed before the garment is constructed, allowing for a rich, uniform color throughout while preserving the integrity of the material.

The process looks like this: Fabrics received in their final color → cut → print/embroidery → sewing → washing → packaging.

Garment Dyeing & Washing (all of our clothing!): Once the garment is fully constructed, it is dyed as a whole. This method enhances the fabric's texture and structure, creating a distinct, lived-in feel with unique variations. Our garments are then garment washed after the dying process which accounts for any shrinkage. This step is also why each garment may have slight variance in color from piece to piece.  

The process looks like this: Fabrics received raw → cut → sew → dye to final color → wash → print/embroidery → packaging.

3. PRE-SHRINKAGE

All of our garments undergo a pre-shrinking process. This step ensures that any shrinkage that may occur after the first wash is already accounted for, helping to maintain the garment’s fit and integrity over time.

4. CRAFTSMANSHIP

Each garment is carefully crafted with expertise and attention to detail, from sourcing organic cotton to the final finishing touches. Our commitment to quality ensures every piece is beautifully made, durable, and built to last, reflecting our dedication to sustainability and ethical practices.
